Matfen Hall & Northumberland Wedding Photographer

This is a venue you must consider when thinking of getting married in Northumberland.

The Great Hall provides a grand and beautiful backdrop for your romantic ceremony, surrounded by stone archways and stained glass windows.

James and Tutu found me at a wedding fair and we met up a few times. I found out they planned the perfect wedding at Matfen Hall, so I was super excited to be their photographer! From their pre-wedding shoot to the day before when Tutu made her family proud and had a blessing with her family from back home over Zoom it was so good to see and experience too!

My style is a beautiful, natural and relaxed approach to all types of photography sessions, especially for weddings. I want my photos to take you back to that moment and that time and remind you how your beautiful day unfolded (as if you would forget).

Matfen Hall is a stunning stately home located in the village of Matfen, Northumberland, England. It has been the home of the Blackett Family since the 16th century and is a Grade I-listed building. The house is constructed of stone and is surrounded by landscaped gardens, a lake and a golf course. The original house was built in the 16th century by Sir William Blackett and was the first of his four-country homes. The house was extensively altered in the 17th century, and in the 18th century, it was remodelled in the Georgian style by renowned architect Sir Jeffry Wyatville. The house was further extended in the 19th century and today it comprises an impressive central block, two wings and a gatehouse. Matfen Hall is surrounded by beautiful formal gardens and parkland. The gardens are divided into several sections, including the Rose Garden, the Italian Garden, the Water Garden, the Orangery and the Elizabethan Garden. The lake, which was created in the 18th century, is home to a variety of waterfowl, including mallard ducks and moorhens.

I absolutely love it at Northumberland it is becoming my second home and I always love coming back!
